Leading a team of nurses and healthcare staff with the goal of providing better care to patients and improving the work environment is a job that takes organization and leadership. Colorado Technical University’s Master of Science in Nursing with a Nursing Administration concentration is designed to help students prepare for possible nursing leadership and management positions. By learning how to communicate effectively, understand relationship-building strategies to drive positive change and through demonstrating ethical personal, professional and fiscal accountability, graduates of the MSN-NA program at CTU could be positioned to pursue leadership or managing teams of nursing staff.
The Master of Science in Nursing program is designed to expand the knowledge of the registered nurse for leadership in the profession. The focus on change, innovation, quality outcomes, care across the healthcare system, and advancement of the individual nurse and profession will prepare the registered nurse for an advanced level of practice. Students complete 120 hours in two nursing administration practicums with a nurse administrator in their community.
This program does not lead to additional licensure or certification. As such, CTU has made no determination regarding prerequisites for licensure or certification in any state or jurisdiction.

MSN Program Goals
In 1965, Colorado Technical University was founded in Colorado Springs, where the main campus remains embedded in a vibrant and growing community. As the needs of a dynamic professional industrial complex expanded, the University evolved from a technical training school to a respected university with graduate-level programs in many of today’s most technologically demanding fields.
In 1995, we introduced our online school and took our commitment to educating career-focused adults into homes coast to coast and continent to continent. Our online school reaches far and wide—from U.S. military personnel stationed at bases overseas to students across the globe aspiring to enrich their education. We are proud to provide effective, award winning, online and virtual learning options for our students. At CTU, we continue to embrace new technology and use it in innovative ways to enhance your learning experience. We offer you the advantage of connectivity, interactivity, and freedom of choice. From multiple classroom delivery options and mobile access to your coursework to social networking, you can engage in a true university experience whether you study on campus, online or a combination of both.
