The MBA in healthcare management curriculum integrates essential business skills such as accounting, finance and decision-making with healthcare-specific management practices and policies. Concentration courses include Managing the Healthcare Organization, Systems in Healthcare and a Healthcare Management Capstone where you will be expected to complete a real-world, in-depth project using comprehensive research and analysis.

The program is designed to help you examine management processes and skills and explore the opportunity to implement them across various healthcare systems.

Program Overview

The Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management (MBA-HCM) is a 48-credit-hour program offered online and at the Colorado Springs campus. It consists of 32 credit hours in the business administration core and 16 credit hours in the healthcare management concentration.

This program is designed to provide students with a strong focus in business administration skills coupled with the essentials of healthcare management. The program offers students an opportunity to develop a solid understanding of business and management concepts in accounting, finance, strategic management and decision-making with application to leadership roles in healthcare industries.

This program does not lead to additional licensure or certification. As such, CTU has made no determination regarding prerequisites for licensure or certification in any state or jurisdiction.
