Advanced 3D printing technology allows health care professionals to generate full anatomical models from computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), angiography and ultrasound images. These models can be used to help reduce surgical time, improve surgical preparation, decrease fluoroscopy time, lower cost to patients, and increase education and interprofessional collaboration, which ultimately leads to positive patient outcomes.
