CJD First Aid
The goal of this HSI Basic First Aid training class is for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency in basic first aid for the adult and child. Designed for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers who desire, or are occupationally required, to be trained and certified in basic first aid.
The goal of the HSI CPR AED training program is for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency in CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use for adult, child, and infant. This program includes flexible instructional tools for developing proficiency via demonstration and prompted practice, including scenario-based problem-solving exercises with feedback. HSI CPR AED reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and it conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the annual Guidelines Update. Training on Naloxone (Narcan) Administration can be added to this class upon request for an additional $15 per student.
The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.
This is the hands-on component to the online HeartCode BLS training. Please follow these instructions to complete this course: 1. Purchase the 2020 HeartCode BLS Student program ($31) at the American Heart Association's website: https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls You will also need to purchase the 2020 BLS Provider Student Manual ($14 for digital, $16 for hardcopy). Upon completing the HeartCode BLS Student program, you will book this session in order to complete the hands-on and written exam requirement for this class. 3. Upon successful completion of both the online HeartCode BLS program AND the hands-on/written exam portions, you will receive your BLS CPR card within 72 hours. Please Note: you will not be certified/re-certified until you successfully complete BOTH the online program and the hands-on sessions.

Upon successful completion of this class, you will receive certification in both Basic First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens.
