This course will measure the student's learning and understanding of CNA theory/concepts, skills, and ability to apply the essential skills through practical applications. Competency evaluation (skills) is conducted in a simulated lab as well as in a clinical learning environment. The course is designed to guide students through learning and skill modules. This is a state-approved program and student must meet all the course requirements to be eligible for the CNA state exam as well as the minimum hours of direct instruction. Attendance is of the utmost importance. A cumulative passing grade of 70%, a proficient score of 80% or higher on the final NNAAP skills competency, and 80% or higher in the final written exam and completion of 16 hours of a clinical learning experience.
