Machining jobs are in high demand. This course covers aspects of basic machining principals. The primary machines used in machining are the engine lathe (metal lathe), milling machine (both horizontal and, most typically, vertical) and a drill press. These and other machines can be either manual or automated. Machinists work in prototyping new parts, on production lines, and in repair and maintenance facilities. In this course, you will be introduced on how to use a manual engine lathe and a vertical mill to make intricate, precise, and complex parts with a high degree of repeatable accuracy.
