The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician program provides specialized classroom instruction and practical shop experience to prepare students for employment in a variety of jobs in the field of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration. Students learn to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain the operating condition of domestic, residential, and commercial heating/air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Graduates of this program work as technicians to install, service, and repair air conditioning and heating systems, and refrigeration systems in both residential and commercial establishments. Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and complete all required courses to graduate from this program. Completion time depends on course load, course withdrawals, and repeat courses. The program takes approximately four semesters to complete based on full-time status (15+ hours per semester).

Rod Brady Campus

Established in 1984 as an extension campus of Central Louisiana Technical Community College in Jena, LA, Rod Brady Campus offers comprehensive career and technical education, general education, dual enrollment, and workforce training. Programs include Business Office Administration, Industrial Manufacturing, Practical Nursing, and Welding Technology. The campus operates Monday-Friday with a summer four-day workweek and provides campus tours by appointment. It is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE), ensuring nationwide training standards.
