The CCS comprehensive Dental Assisting course consists on hands-on clinical training and on-line education tools. The 5 month Program consists of 120 Hands-on Learning Clinical Hours, 72 Online Course Hours, and 3 Months of Internship Hours. In addition to training, you will also receive the following certifications: Basic Life Support, Infection Control, and Radiation Safety. The student, upon successful completion of this course will have reliably demonstrated the ability to: Identify tooth numbers, types, oral anatomy, Operate dental assisting equipment, Sterilize dental equipment and instruments, Utilize proper X-ray techniques and X-ray safety, Use Four-Handed Dental Assisting Techniques, Patient reception and dismissal, Maintain and manage patient records, Communicate effectively using accurate dental terminology, Apply working knowledge of various dental procedures.
