The CCTI Alternative High School Diploma Program offers a chance for individuals to earn a high school diploma at a self-guided pace; morning and/or evening sessions. Students graduate when they have met the requirements. Students may enter at any time of the year attend classes on a flexible schedule while holding a job; 15+hours per week. Academics: 15 hours per week. Students entering the program take a placement test to determine their current abilities in areas of reading, math, and language. The Carbon Alternative High School Diploma Program utilizes PA Chapter 4 aligned outcome-based competency developed curriculum. Students proceed at their own pace using assigned books and other materials as well as computer assisted instruction. Once a student completes a course, he/she moves on to the next course until all courses have been successfully completed. Student’s grades are based on completed assignments, test scores, and a final exam for each course. Co-op: 15+ hours a week. Approved work site, supervised position and workman’s compensation insurance required.
