Network Systems Administration is the area of information technology which focuses on the server and application infrastructure of a network. This course prepares the student to support servers and applications in the modern network and has two specialty options for students to choose from. There are seven sections in this course. Four “core” sections map to specific certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, and Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA). By earning these industry standard certifications, students can demonstrate to employers the breadth and depth of their training in fundamental networking principles. The student chooses between two core specialties: Network infrastructure in the form of the Cisco certification CCNA: Routing and Switching; Server administration in a server specialty focusing on either Linux or Microsoft.
