This full-time program provides a combination of lecture and hands-on training. This allows you to get practical experience while you learn. The curriculum includes training specific to the electrical, mechanical and chemical systems that are an integral part of HVAC/R products. Training also comprises complete systems repair, installation, schematic reading, electrical theory, refrigerant handling, systems diagnostics and wiring and controls. Butler Tech is the only career and technical education school in the region to include refrigeration training for both homes and businesses. You will receive training needed to perform technical service on both residential and commercial refrigeration units, ice machines and reach-in and walk-in coolers, which are used by many different types of industries.

This new Practical Nursing (LPN) to Registered Nurse (RN) Bridge program offers an accelerated track for current LPNs, allowing them to save time and money while advancing their nursing careers to the next level as Registered Nurses. Registered nurses are essential healthcare professionals who provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients about various health conditions, and offer emotional support to patients and their families.

Taught by experienced and qualified nursing faculty, students will receive comprehensive training through a blend of in-person and online learning, hands-on clinical experience, and on-site laboratory work. Within these industries, there is a high need for Technicians and Operators with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Equipment Operators and individuals skilled in welding, electrical, mechanical and other utility pipeline maintenance needs.

A licensed practical nurse is an essential member of the healthcare team. Our practical nursing program combines classroom learning and hands-on clinical experience to prepare you for rewarding and challenging opportunities in nursing. Employment opportunities exist with hospitals, extended care facilities, home health care agencies, physicians’ offices, schools, outpatient clinics, and hospice providers. As of October 18, 2021, an STNA License is NO LONGER required to enroll in our LPN program. A passing WorkKeys® test score is required prior to enrollment.
