Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology’s Pharmacy Technician – Entry Level program in Buffalo, New York, prepares adults for pharmacy technician employment and a national certification exam offered through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcareer Association. The program is an accelerated, in-person course with 17 weeks of classroom instruction, followed by a 130-hour internship at a clinical partner site. Coursework covers medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, pharmacy calculations, pharmacy practice, community pharmacy software, and professional development. Admission is limited to adults ages 21 and older. The program is offered twice a year and provides scholarships covering tuition and books for selected workforce development students.
