The Tucson Surgical Technology program will grant you the requisite knowledge and skills to become an essential member of the surgical team within a hospital or trauma-care facility. Through our accredited Surgical Technology training program, not only will you learn how to perform the various functions of a Surgical Technologist, but you will also develop a foundational understanding of several healthcare topics, including hospital organization, safety, legal issues, anatomy, physiology, aseptic technique, and surgical procedures. You will gain hands-on instruction from our experienced faculty within our modern simulation labs using the latest surgical technology and equipment. However, the most effective way to prepare yourself for the operating room is to practice. That’s why our Scrub Tech program also includes a supervised externship where you will experience the Surgical Tech profession firsthand. Upon graduation, students will have the necessary skills for entry-level employment in the field. Graduates who earn their Surgical Technology diploma are also much better prepared to complete their certification and licensure exams upon program completion.
