Overview

Bethel House Training Institute, located in Wichita, Kansas, is proud to present an extensive Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program. With a 100% pass rate since 2009, we offer a curriculum that can help you obtain your CMA certification in less than a month.

Course Description

This program is designed to educate students about the roles and responsibilities of a Certified Medication Aide. Coursework includes:

• Understanding the legal and ethical aspects of medication administration.

• Learning about the different forms of medications, their preparation, and administering techniques.

• Recording and observing medication administration.

• Interpreting prescriptions and calculating correct drug dosages.

• Reviewing the Kansas Adult Care Home Regulations and their relevance to a CMA.

In addition to theory and lab work, students get to participate in at least twenty-five hours of hands-on experience in a long-term care setting and a simulated lab. This is to ensure that students are adequately prepared for the Kansas Medication Aide certification examination.

Course Prerequisites

• Pass the ASSET 8th Grade Level Reading Exam, which is taken at Bethel.

• Be at least 18 years of age.
