The Automotive Service Technician certification program at Bates Technical College - Downtown Campus is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of vehicles. The program covers everything from engine and transmission repair to electrical systems and computer diagnostics, giving graduates the ability to work in a variety of automotive settings. Graduates of the program can expect to be well-prepared for entry-level positions in the automotive industry, as well as certification through the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
