The military studies certificate program is designed in partnership with the U.S. Naval Community College to provide enlisted personnel, veterans and nonmilitary students with an interdisciplinary focus on national security, history and political science. Coursework includes global perspectives on war and conflict, an understanding of contemporary United States foreign policy, and regional focus of the student's choice on history, religion and politics.
The program includes capstone research or an applied project in which students explore the role of the U.S. military in advancing the goals of the nation in the past, present or future.
