About

Our Medication Technician program is a Georgia Approved Certified Medication Aide Training that Qualified individuals can use in Assisted Living Communities to provide care for the elderly in need of medication administration. Candidates must have an active GA. After completing a CNA course, they can now take the CMA exam. Upon successful completion of the exam with a passing score, candidates can apply to the medication aide program if desired. This course is one day only, a minimum of 4 hours. Students are trained on how to administer medications through different routes such as by mouth, ear, eye, rectal, nasal, topical and injectable like insulin. Upon completing the course, successful students will complete a medication administration skills checklist. The student can then be eligible to take the online only medication aide certification exam. Students must meet the passing score of 82% or higher. Each candidate is given three chances to pass the exam. The three chances must be attempted within 90 days from the first attempt. Certification exams are done at our facility where you are comfortable. Exams are by appointments only.
