Our EKG Technician program is meticulously crafted to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills required to excel in the role of an EKG Technician. As an EKG Technician, you will play a vital role in healthcare by conducting and interpreting electrocardiogram (EKG) readings to assess a patient's heart health.
Program Overview:
- Comprehensive Curriculum: Our program covers a wide range of topics including the cardiac conduction system, EKG tracing interpretation, basic EKG procedures, and common cardiovascular diseases and disorders.
- Hands-On Training: Through a combination of classroom instruction and skills lab training, students will gain practical experience in operating electrocardiogram machines, performing EKG procedures, and interpreting EKG readings.
- Patient Care Skills: Learn basic patient care skills including proper lead placement for EKG monitoring and how to handle emergency situations in a clinical setting.
- Certification Preparation: Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a certification and will have the opportunity to sit for the Certification Exam with the National Health Career Association (NHA).
