Pharmacy technicians support licensed pharmacists by assisting with dispensing medications to patients and health care staff. Their responsibilities include preparing prescriptions, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records. After successfully completing the pharmacy technician certificate, students will be familiar with medical terminology, human anatomy, pharmacy technician principles, and professionalism in allied health. They will also be prepared to resolve billing and insurance issues, perform medication reconciliation, and process orders.
