Advanced Care Training
In this course students will learn Basic Peripheral IV Therapy, Insertion and Standards of Practice. This is a continuing education course offered to nurses, nursing/medical students, EMT or any healthcare provider looking to refresh or learn more about Infusion Therapy. Participants must provide proof of healthcare profession. Students will have the opportunity to practice starting IV’s and more during the class.
The Nurse Aide program will train you to care for patients/residents in Extended Care Facilities, Assisted Living Centers, Hospitals and Private Homes. You will learn Personal Care Skills, Anatomy & Physiology, Vital Signs, First Aid, and Hands-on Training with real patients in a clinical setting. You will also learn the characteristics of professionalism, interviewing skills, and professional resume writing. At the end of the program, you will earn a Certificate of Completion and will be eligible to take the Michigan State Certified Nurse Aide Exam.

If you answered yes to these questions you are ready for the CNA Skills Refresher Course. Our structured Refresher Course is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills you already have as a CNA student. Students will have a chance to practice CNA skills with instructor feedback. Sessions are 2 hours long.

Phlebotomy is the process of drawing blood to diagnose diseases and medical testing. A phlebotomist is the healthcare professional who performs the phlebotomy procedure (drawing blood). The phlebotomist is hired to work in hospitals, doctor offices, nursing homes, dialysis centers, plasma centers and many more. Advanced Care Training Phlebotomy Program is a 6-week program including a lecture, laboratory practice. Classes are held 2 days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-2pm or 4 pm – 9pm. Students will learn venipuncture procedure, capillary specimen collection, specimen processing, and transport, point of care testing, blood cultures, infection control, and CPR training. After completion of our program, students will be eligible to sit for the National Certification for Phlebotomy Technician.
