The Nursing program is designed to prepare the student for an entry-level career as a professional nurse. The well-rounded and balanced education will introduce the student to a broad range of subjects such as communication and natural sciences. The program includes a challenging curriculum, encompassing nursing communications, nursing management, nursing fundamentals, patient assessment and clinical practice. The curriculum is designed to provide the competency based, outcome oriented didactic, laboratory and clinical experience including the knowledge and critical thinking skills necessary to become a Registered Nurse.

Active Health Institute started as a dream in the heart of an amazing and compassionate woman, Dr. Amparo Sanchez, with the purpose of preparing wholesome professionals, by teaching them excellent caregiving skills and instilling in them a heart for service in the Health Care field.

Gain the basic professional Health Care skills that will prepare you to start your working life as a successful Home Health Aide. You will enjoy learning from our highly experienced nurses the necessary Home Health Care skills and Professionalism that will enable you to become a successful care giver! Students of the Home Health Aide Program will learn to perform duties which include providing physical comfort and care for patients, nutrition, and other sustaining services for home health care recipients. Upon completion of this program, graduates will possess the skills and knowledge to become employed as entry level Home Health Aides, working for Home Health Agencies, Hospice Care, private clients and more!

The Practical Nurse Remedial (PN) has been designed in accordance with Florida Rules as set forth in 64B9-3.0025 Remedial Courses for Reexamination. The program design includes training in testing strategies, physiological and psychological testing aspects, construction, and design of the examination and of all the prescribed areas of training and testing of professional nurses. Upon successful completion of this Remedial, the student will be prepared with the testing strategies, and practical nursing knowledge to pass the NCLEX-RN examination.

The Medical Assistant program is designed to train students in all of the relevant aspects of medical office management, including reception, booking appointments, records management, basic informatics, insurance verification, preparing patients for physical examinations and/or minor surgeries, performing specialized medical tests including urinalysis, and collecting biological specimens, phlebotomy, EKG, and processing and recording pharmacological data. Graduates of this program will be prepared to work at the entry level in medical offices, clinics and various medical practices.

The Hemodialysis Training for Skilled Nurses is a Continuing Education Training that prepares RNs and LPNs with practical training and knowledge in the field of Hemodialysis. You will have the opportunity to learn from active and experienced Hemodialysis Professionals and expand your horizons in the field of Nursing. As a Nurse trained in Hemodialysis you may be able to apply for National and/or International Certification with the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing Technology (BONENT), or the CCHT Test C-NET, upon Training Completion.

The Phlebotomy Technician Program is designed to train you to perform duties which include blood draw, storing blood and blood components, venipuncture, and basic processing. As our student you will learn the circulatory system and its functions, pathology of diseases, law and ethics, critical policies and procedures including; universal precautions, infection control, OSHA and CLIA guidelines and how they apply to the Phlebotomy Technicians duties and responsibilities. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge, and apply skills in using medical tools and equipment relevant to the functions of a Phlebotomy Technician. Upon completion of this program, graduates will possess the skills and knowledge to become employed as entry level Phlebotomy Technicians, in hospitals, out-patient centers, clinics, diagnosis labs, medical centers and other facilities.

Our NGN RN/LPN NCLEX Review Courses have been designed to help students and nursing graduates review and make emphasis on the necessary NCLEX ®Exam Test Taking Strategies in a friendly and professional environment, where Faculty and Nursing Students exchange knowledge, analyze nursing cases with critical thinking, and answer questions in the light of the latest NCLEX ® Exam format and Testing Plan. Our students will be able to demonstrate comprehensive strategy’s application in the areas of Med-Surg, Maternity, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Pharmacology and more. Upon successful completion of this Review, the student will be prepared with the testing strategies to pass the NCLEX ® examination.
