Certified Nursing Aide

Certified Nursing Aide
This is a comprehensive course designed to teach students the skills and abilities essential to the provision of basic care to patients and residents in hospitals and long-term care facilities. The student will learn how to administer First Aid, perform CPR, check vital signs, and many other essential skills required to be licensed as a CNA. In order to be licensed, students must take the Texas Nurse Aide exam ($125-not included in the tuition). The written exam may be taken in English or Spanish, and the skills will be performed in English as requested by an examiner.
Medication Aide
This course includes the development of knowledge and skills related to many commonly prescribed medications. Students will learn the classification, side effects, techniques, and administration, including preparation and accurate distribution of medications. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to take the Texas certification examination for Medication Aide (included in the tuition).
In person CPR / Basic Life Support Classes
