Anyone who would like to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), in New York State, must attend and graduate from a school that is licensed by both the NYS Education Department and the NYS Department of Health. Access Careers is also Accredited Nationally by COE. We run an excellent and recognized 125 hour CNA program. CNAs work in various healthcare facilities including hospitals, nursing homes and extended care facilities. CNAs have to perform various duties depending on the facility they work. Regardless of where you work, many of the responsibilities will be the same.
As a Medical Assistant student, you will learn to perform such clinical procedures as Phlebotomy, EKGs and routine laboratory tests. You will learn to assist physicians during patient examinations and be trained in preparation of medical insurance bills and reports. The program is a 900 hours; 600 hours are Theory and Skills which will be taught Online with a live instructor and in the skills lab supervised by an instructor. All 600 hours will be with a live instructor. The balance 300 hours at the end of the classroom training are at an doctors office/internship site. We have affiliations with the most top Independent Doctors on Long Island and with Doctors who are in the Northwell System.
Dental Assistants perform a wide array of clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of a dentist. They assist the dentist during dental examinations and treatments, such as preparing the patient, taking x-rays, sterilizing instruments, assisting with instruments and materials, and instructing patients about general and post-operative oral health care. Dental assistants may also have administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient files, and billing for services. Dental Assistants work with dentists, dental hygienists, dental office receptionists and dental lab technicians providing dental care to patients. Above all, Dental Assistants become a second pair of hands for the Dentist. Our 900 hour program is a combination of Online and Classroom skills training followed by an internship of 300 hours that will help you apply the skills that you have learnt in an actual office environment. This certificate of completion will not make a graduate eligible to become licensed as a Certified Dental Assistant by the New York State Education Department, Office of Professions.
This course is intended to train the students in understanding the techniques and operation of accurate EKG recording. It also teaches the basis principles of electrophysiology of heart and recognizing the waveforms of electrocardiograph. The course covers medical terminology, medical law & ethics, supplies and equipment needed for EKG recording & Identification of EKG machine and its parts. After successfully completion EKG Training, students will be eligible for employment in physician's office, laboratories.

A phlebotomist technician works under the direction of a physician, pathologist or laboratory supervisor to draw blood, process the sample and identify the patient and transport to the laboratory.
