Accelerated Nurse Assistant & Patient Care Technician Program The Accelerated Nurse Assistant & Patient Care Technician Program includes instruction in basic nursing skills, basic restorative services, mental health, social service needs, personal care skills, and resident’s rights. Students will learn the knowledge and skills necessary to care for convalescing residents in long-term care facilities in 4 to 8 weeks. Graduates of this program will be able to perform Basic First Aid, CPR, take vital signs, apply the element of basic nutrition in meal planning, and follow infection control measures.
Following successful completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate of completion for the Nursing Assistant and Patient Care Technician course. A permanent record of course completion will be maintained at AAHA. The nursing assistant training is an excellent starting place in health care for those students intending to go further with their medical education. The student will be eligible to sit for the Nurse Assistant and PCT certification exams if all skills have been met.

Our Medical Assistant students attend both in-person and online classes. Our hybrid program consist of a combination of in-person and online lectures and labs. Our curriculum and educational approach provides a flexible, affordable and achievable option for individuals who want to further their education. The program is designed to allow students to take care of weekly assignments hybrid. In-person classes that are typically held once or twice per week which allows the following: To give students an opportunity to practice skills and procedures in a classroom and clinical setting. Our students are also able to gain their Phlebotomy Technician and EKG Technician Diploma in this accelerated track. Our program completion fulfills state clinical requirements for completion of the medical assistant Phlebotomy & EKG certification program through NAHP, NHA and NCCT.

Serve to fulfill state clinical requirements for completion of the medical assistant certification program through NHA and NCCT. A medical assistant program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as a competent and valuable member of a healthcare team. Our Program aims to equip students with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to assist healthcare professionals in various medical settings. Our Accelerated Program takes 12 weeks to complete. The program curriculum covers a wide range of topics relevant to medical assisting. These may include: Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Office Procedures, Medical Law and Ethics, Clinical Procedures, Pharmacology, Medical Assisting Specialties, Professional Development. Our Accelerated Medical Assistant program include a clinical externship component, where students have the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge in a real healthcare setting. During this hands-on experience, students work under the supervision of healthcare professionals and gain practical exposure to the day-to-day operations of a medical facility. Upon completion of our accelerated medical assistant program, students may be eligible to sit for a certification examination to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or other recognized credentials. Certification is optional but can enhance job prospects and demonstrate competency to employers. Graduates of our medical assistant program can pursue employment in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, physician offices, and outpatient facilities.
This is a micro course that explores how to locate and determine the heart position to accurately place electrodes for an ECG. In this course, learners will discuss the heart location, chest and peripheral leads and their correct placement when performing an ECG.
Learners will navigate through the training material before completing several short activities to test their retention of the information. This class introduces the participant to cardiac monitoring and diagnostic electrocardiography. Information presented in this program will aid the technician in understanding the use of the EKG and fundamentals.
This is a unique 100% Hands-on 1-day medical assistant seminar that provides the experienced student with additional skills and training in order to succeed in the healthcare field as a medical assistant or other healthcare professional. This workshop is intended to compliment the student’s current medical training and/or experience. This workshop contains lecture, discussion, and practical instruction. The student must demonstrate proficient Medical Assistant phlebotomy skills and EKG knowledge equivalent to the medical assistant program but in a shorter time-frame. This workshop is intended for students with prior medical training, related education, or clinical experience. Students must complete the seminar and demonstrate the skills and check skills check off to receive a certificate. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate of completion from the institute. And may prepare to sit for the certification exam.

With our hybrid training program, you can aspire to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT). This certification could open up exciting new career opportunities, with phlebotomy jobs predicted to increase by 24.3% over the next decade!
For students intending to take the Certified Phlebotomy Technician exam, you will need to complete between 25 to 30 venipunctures and 10 capillary sticks on a live person as part of your training.
