SembraSchool’s CNA class is 120 hours long - 45 hours of theory taught in a classroom, 35 hours in the lab in person, and 40 hours in person at their partner clinical site. SembraSchool requires a high school transcript or GED, 2 forms of valid ID, a TB test, and COVID-19 vaccination card. They offer several flexible ways to pay.
Legacy U offers two Nurse Aide I course options: you can either take the accelerated 7 week course or the longer 11 week course. Both will qualify you to take the CNA exam. The course is 168 hours long (64 hours classroom, 64 hours lab, 40 hours clinicals).
CareOne has a very popular CNA program, in part because the program is accelerated. The course is a bit shorter than other classes in the area: it is 105 hours long. They offer a day time class (4 week and 5 week options), evening class (5.5 weeks long), and weekend class (5.5 weeks long). Reviewers say Miss T the instructor “knows her material extremely well.”
Wake Technical Community College, also called Wake Tech, offers a Nurse Aide I program that is 168 hours long (100 hours theory and lab, 8 hours theory final exam, 4 hours orientation for clinical, 48 hours of clinicals, and 8 hours mock exam to practice for the skills test). The CNA program they offer is a non-degree program so unfortunately the credits aren’t transferrable and they don’t offer financial aid for students who take this class. There are Spanish and hybrid class options.
