Learners will work to increase their financial literacy while analyzing financial documents and methods of control. Additionally, learners will apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) while reading and producing elements of consolidated financial statements. They explore how to expand their knowledge regarding the accounting cycle, the types and natures of financial statements, and cash controls suitable for small businesses and understand the concept of taxable income and its reporting within the federal tax framework. Finally, learners can gain experience with the tools and methods enabling individuals to complete federal tax returns.
