The Arizona State Board of Nursing-approved Nursing Assistant Program consists of 126 hours, comprising 86 classroom/laboratory hours and 40 clinical hours. This program is designed to equip students with the necessary theory and skills for practicing as a nursing assistant in long-term care, intermediate care, and acute care settings.

The curriculum covers physiological, psychological, and basic nursing care needs for clients across the lifespan, with a primary emphasis on long-term care. Teaching methods incorporate diverse strategies such as hands-on practice, didactic instruction, discussions, videos, computer-aided technology, as well as laboratory and clinic-based practical experiences.
