Weatherford College’s Phlebotomy Technology program offers a streamlined, one-semester curriculum designed to launch your career in healthcare. As one of only two accredited phlebotomy programs in Texas, this 16-hour program provides hands-on training in essential blood collection techniques, infection prevention, and patient care. Graduates earn a lifetime Phlebotomy Certificate and are immediately eligible for the national certification exam, opening doors to vital roles in clinics, hospitals, and laboratories. Program Details:

  • Cost: Approximately $3,892.98
  • Duration: 16 weeks (8 weeks on-campus, 8 weeks off-campus clinical experience)
  • Schedule: Primarily in-person, involving on-campus lectures, labs, clinical simulations, and off-campus clinical experience.
  • Prerequisites: Completion of high school or equivalent, meeting technical standards, proof of Hepatitis B vaccinations, major medical insurance, immunizations, drug test, CPR certification, criminal background check, and satisfactory completion of admission tests like the Phlebotomy Accuplacer Test.
  • Accreditations: One of only two accredited phlebotomy programs in the State of Texas.
  • Career Outcomes: Prepares students for a career in phlebotomy, eligible to sit for the national certification exam.
