The Welding certification program at Steel Center for Career and Technical Education is designed to prepare students for entry-level welding positions in various industries. The program provides hands-on training in welding techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation. Students will also learn how to read blueprints, interpret welding symbols, and perform quality control checks.

Steel Center provides Career and Technical Education to high school students from 11 school districts in Allegheny County. Their goal is to develop knowledge, skills and aptitude necessary to be successful in their choice careers. Their mission is to provide challenging, meaningful and relevant career and technical education training for students that supports the growth of individuals, families, and the workforce within communities.
