This program follows the I.F.S.T.A. (International Fire Service Training Association) Essentials Curriculum while teaching firefighting skills. Students will work in a classroom setting as well as outside in inclement weather, completing manipulative activities. Good communication skills, attitude, and a desire to work hard are essential for success in this program. It is a physically demanding program, students can earn a PE equivalency credit from most sending schools as well as a Science equivalency credit. Students also have the opportunity to earn up to 11 college credits via EvCC Tech Prep program if they complete the class with a grade of B or better!
