Pueblo Community College SW - Bayfield
Pueblo Community College Southwest (PCC-SW) Bayfield Site, once located at 110 E South St, Bayfield, CO 81122, was a noteworthy satellite campus that significantly contributed to local education from its opening in August 2019 until its closure. It offered a variety of practical and professional programs, including welding, automotive, law enforcement, nursing, and emergency medical services. Notably, PCC-SW Bayfield collaborated closely with community partners like the Southern Ute Education Department to ensure that their offerings met the needs of local students.
During its tenure, PCC-SW Bayfield was particularly dedicated to promoting accessibility and affordability for students through financial aid options like scholarships for Ute tribal members and other Native Americans. Even though the campus is now closed, it played an essential role by providing quality education and training to the Four Corners region. This commitment to enhancing educational opportunities is part of the broader mission of PCC-SW to expand access to higher education in rural communities. Its legacy continues through the success of its former students and the enduring partnerships it established within the region.
