About school

Prince George's Community College (PGCC) at Joint Base Andrews offers a strategically positioned hub for higher education, accommodating the educational needs of both military and civilian students. Since its establishment in 1972, the campus has been dedicated to serving active-duty military members and their families, Department of Defense personnel, and civilian students. Located conveniently for those stationed or residing near the base, it offers a comprehensive range of services such as admissions, testing, registration, and academic advising.

The campus provides a diverse selection of courses to meet the unique needs of its students. At least 50 courses are available each spring and fall semester, with additional classes offered during the weekends and summer, many of which are scheduled in the evenings to suit the schedules of working adults. The school offers associate degrees in accounting, business management, business administration, criminal justice, and general studies, alongside various certificate programs. Furthermore, the curriculum is designed to support the Community College of the Air Force degree requirements, making it an ideal choice for military personnel. Civilians are welcomed but must follow specific procedures to gain base access, including obtaining a Long Term Badge from the Andrews Visitor Center.
