This course will prepare students to become Certified EKG Technicians. Students will learn the anatomy and physiology of the heart, which include the electrical conduction system and its effects on how the heart functions. The cardiac cycle will also be covered in this course. Students will learn proper lead placement and to correctly run an EKG strip. Upon completion students will receive a certification and be eligible for National Certification through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
