Pike-Lincoln Technical Center
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) assess injuries, administer emergency medical care, extricate trapped individuals, and transport injured or sick persons to medical facilities.
The Emergency Medical Technician-Basic course is a 9-month program.
The goal of this class is to prepare students to become licensed by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) as an EMT-Basic. Licensing requires proficiency in skills performance and academic assessment.
You can become an LPN in our accelerated 11 month program starting in August! General education courses and nursing courses are all completed in the program allowing you to finish your education and transition into the workforce faster. After successful completion of the Practical Nursing Program, the graduate is eligible to apply to write the National Council Licensure Exam for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN). Once licensed, we offer placement assistance.
