The OU BOCES Practical Nurse Program is approved by the New York State Education Department Board of Regents. The objective of the program is to provide students with the opportunity to acquire nursing knowledge and skills and to meet the requirements necessary to sit for the New York State Board Examination in Practical Nursing. The graduates gained an in-depth understanding of health across the continuum, age-specific care, basic needs of patients and the role and responsibilities of the practical nurse in all health care settings.
