The electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) certification program at Norwalk Community College is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the ECG principles and interpretation. The program teaches students how to administer EKGs, recognize arrhythmias, identify heart conditions and other abnormalities, and perform a variety of medical procedures associated with the EKG. Upon completion, students will have the skills necessary to work as an EKG Technician in various healthcare settings.
