NRP, or the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, is a course that trains medical providers in the basics of neonatal resuscitation. The NRP course is ideal for medical providers, midwives, emergency medical personnel, and medical or nursing students who work in labor and delivery, the NICU or in neonatology. We will cover the most up to date NRP American Academy of Pediatrics and American Heart Association guidelines. Our experienced instructors support and evaluate each student’s skills, then integrate the skills and knowledge covered in our course with essential components of teamwork during simulated neonatal resuscitation scenarios. Our NRP classes offer a hands-on approach that emphasizes increasing self-efficacy, managing the unexpected, and supporting the efforts and contributions of each team member. Our goal is that our students can demonstrate the neonatal resuscitation program knowledge, skills, and teamwork, which may reduce neonatal morbidity and mortality, by participating in simulated newborn resuscitation.
