Mid-America College of Health Sciences’ Dental Assistant Program is offered in Olathe, Kansas. It trains students in clinical, technical, and professional dental assisting skills for work in dental practices, awards a Diploma in Dental Assisting, and prepares graduates for the Missouri Dental Assisting Skills exam through the Dental Assisting National Board, as well as national infection control and radiation health and safety exams toward Certified Dental Assistant certification. The program is delivered in person over six months, followed by a 300-clock-hour externship; weekday and blended-week schedules are available. Admission requires applicants to be at least 18, hold a high school diploma, GED, or qualifying college degree, provide valid state identification and a Social Security card, submit a negative tuberculosis test, provide Hepatitis B vaccination, and hold American Heart Association CPR/BLS certification.
