This course is designed to meet regulatory requirements for jobs (e.g. OSHA) and for anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency. In this class, you will learn hands-on techniques to respond and manage illnesses and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Topics covered include scene safety, how to perform CPR, how to use an AED, how to stop bleeding that can be seen, ways to help with a broken bone or sprain, assistance with chocking, and other basic first aid techniques.
The course covers modules in First Aid, Child/Infant and Adult CPR AED. Upon successful completion you will receive a two-year Heartsaver® First Aid CPR/AED certification card. Bring a snack or lunch with you for full day classes. Must have a valid email address. 6.5 hr.
