Liberty’s online Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computational Mathematics – Actuarial can help equip students to enter medical, scientific, and industrial fields as experts in long-term probability modeling. Through this program, students hoping to enter the STEM research field will gain skills in data analysis, computation, and actuarial science that they need to be successful. With highly advanced studies in math subjects such as differential equations, students will be ready to tackle complex challenges in many settings. The B.S. in Computational Mathematics – Actuarial prepares students to harness mathematical modeling to solve problems in the field of business, insurance, and many related industries while also preparing for industry-recognized examinations and credentials. Students in this program will gain specialized expertise in data modeling and simulation that give crucial insights into product design, disaster preparation, systems engineering, and many other fields that require predictive study. With the skills gained in the B.S. in Computational Mathematics, students may be equipped to pursue roles as mathematicians, actuaries, research scientists, data analysts, and mathematics teachers (may require initial licensure).
Financial aid may be available for those who qualify.
