About
IDTC Career Center’s Medical Billing and Coding program in Grand Prairie, Texas, trains students in the fundamentals of medical billing and coding and prepares them for the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam from the National Healthcare Association. Coursework covers medical terminology, insurance plans, medical ethics, HIPAA, diagnostic and procedural coding, compliance and auditing, physician and hospital billing, Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE. Students also train in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS code assignment, along with reimbursement, inpatient coding, modifiers, and evaluation and management services. The program is designed for completion in approximately five to six months. IDTC Career Center offers financial assistance and scholarship programs to qualifying students.
