Hoku's Nurse Aide Training Program
Hoku’s Nursing Aide Training Program will ensure you are compliant and complete at least 75 hours of coursework in a nurse training program. You can then become a certified nursing assistant (CNA) by passing a state-administered exam. The type of testing varies by state but may be comprised of both written and practical components to test your competency as a nurse assistant.
Prepares the student to sit for the CCMA certification exam. Medical Assistants are versatile to the members of the medical team, skilled in completing both clinical and administrative tasks. The purpose of the program is to prepare students for postsecondary education and or employment in the Medical Assistant Industry. A Medical Assistant functions under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider like a MD, DO, APRN, PA, etc. Plays a crucial role in the outpatient settings. These include but are not limited to physicians offices, hospital outpatient clinics, urgent care settings, diagnostic centers ( radiology, lab, sleep centers, etc. ) and same day surgical departments. They are responsible for assisting with patient care and procedures, administering medications, documenting routine office laboratory and diagnostic procedures, as well as performing administrative medical office tasks and coding and billing. Students will learn : Medical terminology, Administritive skills for Medical offices, Ethics and professionalism, Insurance claims, Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology.
The Certified Nursing Assistant certification program at Hoku's Nurse Aide Training Program is a comprehensive training program that provides students with both classroom and hands-on experience. The program is designed to prepare students to pass the state certification exam and become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Students will learn basic nursing skills, infection control, and patient care techniques through the program.
