The Medication Aide certification program at Highland Community College - Western Center is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to safely administer medications to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. This program includes classroom instruction, lab work, and clinical experiences in line with state guidelines, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education in medication administration. Upon completing the course, graduates are eligible to take the Kansas State Medication Aide exam and apply for a Medication Aide position upon successful certification.
