Course Overview
This is an engaging program where you'll learn how to interact with patients and healthcare professionals, collect and handle body fluids, appreciate the significance of infection prevention, and master practical skills such as venipuncture, urinalysis, centrifuging, and processing. You'll get hands-on experience in our labs, preparing you to earn your national phlebotomy technician certification.
Course Structure
Our friendly instructor will guide you through each chapter, ensuring you're well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a certified phlebotomy technician. Each chapter concludes with a test to assess your understanding. The grading is based on a 10-point scale, with students needing to score at least 70% on their overall final grade to pass the course.
In addition to the theoretical components, students are required to demonstrate their competencies in the lab and complete 30 successful blood draws. Upon successful completion of the 120-hour course and passing the national certification exam, certificates will be awarded.
