Individuals with patient care technician credentials find full-time jobs providing basic care for patients in hospitals, physicians’ offices, nursing homes or extended care facilities. 

In addition, completion of the Patient Care Technician program is a prerequisite for Job Corps’ Advanced Training Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program, which prepares students for additional health care career opportunities.
