Winter Break Accelerated EMT/EMR Programs

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) AND Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) courses are designed for anyone interested in learning more about the emergency response system and in becoming an Emergency Medical Technician or Emergency Medical Responder. Emergency Responders are the first line of treatment providing vital care to the sick and injured which can be critical to patient survival. These courses are will help provide you with the tools and training needed in becoming certified as an EMT. During the course you will be taught life support skills including assessment of patient condition, airway management, treatment of bleeding control, shock recognition and hands-on training. The program is a combination of classroom instruction, skill (hands-on in person) training and clinical observation/ride. This initial Emergency Responder program is an entry level course of over 160 hours and Easton EMS is honored to be able to offer this on-line program under the current State of CT and CDC guidelines due to COVID-19.

Easton Emergency Medical Services has been providing Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) training for over two years, tailored to the police department’s needs. During this time, Easton EMS has worked with over 12 different departments, providing professional and effective training with a over a 95% EMR pass rate, achieving our one mutual goal. All of our training is one-on-one and solely for your department. Registration is an 'on a rolling enrollment basis'. No need to wait for a 'scheduled' class any longer, affording departments the opportunity to begin EMR program at any time.

Easton Emergency Medical Service is a State of CT approved testing site for the State of CT Emergency Medical Technician and Emergency Medical Responder Practical Examination. The practical examination consists of the psychomotor (practical skills) portion of the testing process leading to the State of CT certification and NREMT registration as an Emergency Medical Technician or Emergency Medical Responder.

EMT/EMR Hands-on Skill Training Prior to State Practical Exam

Are you preparing for your State of CT Practical Exam? Are you a student? Are you a current State of CT instructor and fall into the State requirements? Are you looking for just a little extra training/time to review your skills? This is the training for you. Easton EMS is proud to offer a one-on-one, one hour skill session. During this session you will review all skill sheets, along with the hands-on training. The course covers Medical, Trauma, CPR, BVM-Apneic and Random (joint immobilization, long bone splinting and bleeding/shock).

EMR and EMT RECERTIFICATION PROGRAMS

Easton is pleased to announce our recertification programs. Our programs are HYBRID and consists of 13 hours of on-line training hours and three hours in-person skill training for EMRs. EMTs will consist of 37 hours online and three hours of in-person skill training. During the in-person session, you will gain your AHA BLS CPR Recertification, State of CT required QPR Suicide Prevention training and Human Trafficking, as well as skills review. Complete your online course prior to meeting our in-person session.
