The 60 Hour Class B CDL Driving program begins by preparing students for the written portion of the CDL test to obtain a CDL Learner’s Permit, which is necessary for the on-road portion of the program. Students will begin hands-on practice on our range training on topics like basic operations of a commercial vehicle, control systems, proper vehicle inspections, communications, visual search, and speed/space management. In addition, students will be trained on safe operations of a commercial vehicle and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) entry level driver training standards.
This program continues the hands-on practice of commercial truck driving. Students complete inspections and practice backing, parking, and driving skills both on the range and out on the road.
If you enjoy the freedom of the open road and are looking for a career that offers job security and stability, independence with good pay and benefits, then getting your commercial driver’s license training from Dawn Career Institute may be a good option for you.
