This course is designed to introduce you to the nursing assistant profession and prepare you for the Texas State Nursing Certification Examinations. Over the next 4-week period, we will explore the role of the nursing assistant; learn about medical terminology, how the body works, and how to care for people with medical conditions and disabilities. You will learn in the traditional classroom, in hands-on lab situations, and in providing care to actual patients/residents at a healthcare facility during the clinical phase.
