The Nurse Aide Training courses prepare students to perform the fundamental skills of the nurse aide. Basic nursing skills, restorative services, personal care skills, safety and emergency care issues are all presented. The combined course provides five hours of college credit and includes classroom activities, practicing lab skills, and clinical experience. Upon successful completion of the course the student will be eligible to take the Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) certification exam to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
