Currently 11 states license or regulate chiropractic assistants but that is changing rapidly. A growing number of additional states are considering statutory changes requiring specific training for CAs. The Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB), in conjunction with the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners has developed a Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant Program. The program consists of a minimum of 24 hours of course work (available on ChiroCredit.com), a passing grade on a standardized, national examination and 300 hours of clinical training.
